The journey began on February 26, 2025, when our students delivered an exceptional performance in the first round, securing qualification for the grand finals held in Bangkok, Thailand, from July 23 to July 28, 2025. This prestigious event brought together over 1,000 of the brightest young mathematicians from across the globe.
Flying the flag for Day Waterman College and Nigeria, Miss Ugoeze Ogbodo competed in an intense and highly challenging contest that required months of rigorous preparation. Her success is a reflection not only of her exceptional talent and determination but also of the dedication, skill, and passion of our outstanding Mathematics Department.
We are proud to announce that Miss Ugoeze Ogbodo emerged as the World Champion, earning the Gold Medal and claiming the top position globally.
