DWC Charity

About DWC Charity

Everyone in DWC is practically involved in the community service programme in one form or the other. The students with the support of staff have continually supported the local communities since January 2009.

Day Waterman College, through her students, has continued to explore various ideas and strategies to help raise money for the adopted school.

Funds have been raised from both the Christian and Muslim services, Private sponsorship, free-will donations, Car Wash Day, Ankara Day, Charity Balls, End poverty Danceetc.

Our aims are:

  • To give students the opportunity to learn about charity and fund-raising
  • To give the students an opportunity to lead and have a sense of ownership
  • To touch the lives of the less priviledged ones around our community
  • To encourage students to serve and give to others.

Our guiding principles when selecting a charity are:

  • Ideally Ogun State based
  • Impacts children
  • Size – not too big
  • Local in preference to National
  • Opportunities for our students to volunteer their time and services
